All pilots must meet the REQUIREMENTS outlined below and have a valid RMHPA (Rocky Mountain
Hang Gliding Paragliding Association) MEMBERSHIP. All pilots must be current USHPA H4/P4 pilots unless a local Guide Pilot sponsors you as an H3/P3. More information on P3/H3 flying can be found in the RHMPA page for the chapter of Crested Butte.
Please follow the instructions below on how to fill out your documents and send them in. Failure to do so will result in NOT flying until your proper documents have been submitted. If you do not have RMHPA membership yet, start there.
These instructions outline all the steps necessary to complete the paperwork required to fly the hang gliding and paragliding site at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. First, all pilots must meet the requirements outlined within the Crested Butte Site Regulations. All information pertaining to flying Crested Butte can be found on this website. All pilots must be current USHPA H4/P4 pilots unless a local Guide Pilot sponsors you as an H3/P3.

USHPA Membership Card
Your membership card must be downloaded from the USHPA website. This is the only way to have a card that includes your rating and membership expiration date. To do this:
CORSAR Card
A Colorado Search and Rescue Fund, CORSAR, car can be obtained two ways. Either in person at a local angler/sporting shop or from the link below. The card costs $3/year.
